Our menu

Take the quality and the freshness of the ingredients, add an abundance of priceless knowledge of old Tuscan recipes handed down from mother to daughter and mix together with a great passion for the art of cooking. Here is revealed the secret of our cook, Franca, the owner of the house. The accumulated experience from years of working in the principal restaurants in the area adds to her own experience and traditions. At La Landuccia you will find dishes from the past that live once again.

Here for example are some of the great traditional dishes that you can find in our restaurant: Tuscan farmhouse soup in the Libbiano version, la pappa al pomodoro - the classic tomato and bread soup, crostini with seasonal vegetables, bruschette with organically produced oil, the Libbiano pomodorata, il pane zuppo, La zuppa lombarda, fagioli alla contadina. There are of course the prestigious Tuscan first courses: pappardelle with wild boar or with hare, polenta with wild boar, tortelli. Among the cook’s specialities are seasonal dishes such as pasta dishes and risottos with wild herbs. Apart from the classical beef and pork, always very fresh and of top quality, we offer Pomarancino lamb, agnello al forno impanato e con farina di castagne, carpaccio filets, spiedini, porchetta d’agnello.

Finally the desserts: tarts made with our own jam, il corollo, la pinolata, il pesce di cioccolato alla libbianese, all cooked in our big wood burning oven all coke, as tradition requests, in the great scented wood oven.

In addition to our organic wine we offer a selection of the best local wines and classical Tuscan wines.

While trying our dishes, with the aromas from the old oven carrying on the breeze, you can relive the atmosphere of the old country gatherings: getting together around the table at harvest time, the feasts at grape picking, a division of work and pleasure of the palate.


Admire the view of fields in their different shades of green leading down to the stream, the grazing sheep in the distance, and the swallows like first thoughts on a beautiful May morning, the world as seen in some distant moment in time. There are good things to eat in front of you: bread, cake and biscuits cooked in the old wood oven. Milk; jam made from our own fruit and many other things all fresh and wholesome. Breakfast is ready, perhaps eaten in the garden, in an unexpected secluded corner of Tuscany.
